2020-21 Upper Deck Overtime Hockey is a set that runs throughout the card season. And while it doesn’t have a traditional box configuration or distribution, it does have wide reach. It’s an incentive set of sorts, with collectors getting Overtime packs as a bonus for buying certain 2020-21 boxes from participating dealers.
As has been the case in past years, 2020-21 Upper Deck Overtime Hockey arrives in three separate waves, each connected to different products. This allows the overall set to evolve over the course of the year, not to mention provide fresh content.
2020-21 Upper Deck Overtime Hockey Checklist Overview
When complete, the 2020-21 Upper Deck Overtime Hockey base set has 180 cards. That works out to 60 per wave. In each, 40 veterans are joined by 20 rookies.
Base set parallels include Blue Foil and Red Foil (/99). Many cards also have Gold Foil Autographs as well.
Each wave also has an additional insert set as well. For Wave 1, it’s Center of Excellence, which spotlights 25 of the best centers in the game. Red Rainbow (/25) and Blue Rainbow (/10) parallels are available as well as tough Gold Rainbow Autographs for certain cards. These have just three copies each.
Rookies get the insert treatment with Wave 2’s Next in Line while Wave’s 3 Gatekeepers focuses on goalies.
How to Get 2020-21 Upper Deck Overtime Hockey Packs
The 2020-21 Upper Deck Overtime Hockey program is exclusive to dealers using GTS Distribution in the United States and Universal Distribution in Canada.
Each wave has its own group of products where dealers get packs by purchasing from one of the participating distributors. The idea is that dealers pass the packs on to their customers for buying boxes.
