The wait for a new line of NHL figures is nearly over as Quebec-based toy manufacturer Imports Dragon has obtained a licence from the National Hockey League and National Hockey League Players’ Association to produce a new line of figures.

Releasing to retailers on October 15, collectors will have the option to find the first wave of 6″ figures or they can choose the smaller 2.5″ line which includes a gaming component that aims to bring the action of the game home. In the past, McFarlane Toys had a long run with their NHL Sports Picks line and Imports Dragon will be looking to fill the void which began last year.

“Here at Imports Dragon, we are proud and excited to launch, on the market, the new hockey products that will sure please everyone. From acting as a general manager with our 2.5″ figure game to the amazing details and quality of the 6″ figures, all hockey fans will be thrill about the upcoming products, it is an honor to work with the NHL and NHLPA as licensee,” said Imports Dragon President, Stephan Tétrault.

Imports Dragon Brand Manager Alexandre Beauchemin noted that collectors will have a chance throughout the 2015-16 season to track down limited edition figures as well. Some of them will be autographed and the company is also looking at adding vintage players to their lineup. He also spoke about the gaming aspect of the smaller figures.

“It is an easy but addictive game which the main goal is to score five goals against your opponent from your own selected roster.”

Collectors can build their teams by either purchasing a starter kit which contains three figures, six dice, three player cards, pucks, instructions, and a play mat, or buying figures through individual foil bags. The bags will contain a random figure with their card and there are 56 players to be found with varying levels of scarcity (common, uncommon, and rare). From there, players put together a roster that totals 25 points or less as each figure is assigned a point value based on their ability.

“This might sound easy at first, but you soon realize that strategy needs to be created,” said Tétrault. “Which figure will you place first? Which one will you use to face the opponent’s figure? How do you fully use the 25 points to maximize your own team? Exactly the same as a GM with a salary cap would do.”

The game itself has been described as fast-paced and begins with a face off. The player winning the draw has the option to pass or shoot and their success is determined by tossing the dice. If you roll a flaming puck, you will be allowed extra dice to help increase your chance at scoring. The player that scores five times will win the game.

The starter packs of three 2.5″ figures and accessories will have a suggested retail price of $19.99 while the individual foil bags are expected to sell for $6.99 each. For those wanting to collect the larger figures, their retail price is expected to be $19.99 and they will be released in four waves over the course of the 2015-16 campaign.

Teď na to koukám ze je to McDonagh. Já celou dobu mám za to, že je to fakt Messier golmani jdou taky dobře poznat Nechápu jednu věc.když někdo vyrábí něco hodně dobře a já to chci vyrábět taky tak to přece buď musím dělat líp nebo stejně a přidat nějakej nápad nebo inovaci jinak je to k ničemu. Ale jako bonus k tem full force kartam za kilo/box by to asi šlo

hele a není to zároveň nějaké hra?? takovej šprtec, jen budou rozhodovat atributy z karty kdo dá gól? nemám s tím teda žádnou zkušenost, ale jen na figurky na vystavění jsou vyloženě hnusný a to řazení common, rare je taky jak z her karetního a figurkového světa Magic, Lotr atd.

Musíte rozlišovat ty herní 2,5 palcové mini figurky, u kterých je jasné, že nebudou mít detailní obličeje a nepůjde je podle rysů obličeje poznat atd. Jsou to jen takové mini figurky navíc dělané pro tu hru. Pro to jsou tam i ty různé kategorie vzácnosti, protože mají určité atributy atd. Ty fotky jsou pomíchané, ale ty větší detailnější 6-ti palcové figurky už vypadají dobře. Třeba u McFarlane figurek podle obličeje taky spousta hráčů nešla poznat. Tady třeba ten subban když pominu, že je černoch, prostě po obličeji poznat jde rysově. Crosby třeba méně, ale nevíme co ostatní. Tělo, výstroj, dres atd jsou super. Golmani taky vypadají dobře. Podle mě je fajn, že se toho někdo ujal a pro lidi, kteří takové figurky sbírají nebo pro děti je to myslím dobrá zpráva.

U těch malých máš pravdu, ale ty velké se nedají s MCF vůbec srovnat. Ty jsou detailní na celém kusu, kromě tváře. Tady to je takový "30 roků před MCF"...

Konkurence to být nemůže, protože MCF už NHL figurky delší dobu nevyrábí...
Ovšem o inovaci taky řeč být nemůže...

McFarlane jsou některé trochu lepší, ale nepřeháněl bych to. Schválně jsem se podíval na mcfarlane a když už tu máme toho crosbyho, tak dám na porovnání od mcfarlane a pokud by tady někdo jen podle obličeje poznal že je to crosby, aniž by mu to někdo řekl nebo to neměl na dresu, tak je opravdu kouzelník, protože to má od crosbyho minimálně stejně daleko jako ta figurka od těch Imports Dragon.

Zrovna tohoto mcf jsem dnes měl shodou okolností v ruce:-)).
Musím říci, že naživo vypadá mnohem líp, než na této fotce. A kvalita takto vypadá dost podobná u obou... tak třeba to nebude naživo tak zlý. Já když si ale vybavím třeba MCF Mike Richtera - podle mě zatím nejhezčí, co jsme měli - tak to byl jiný level. Ale taky stála 1400 nebo dokonce 1500...

ale pokud to má být , jako hra, tak to bohatě stačí... Přeci jen McF je spíše pro fajnšmekry, že ....

jj ten je super. Golmani obecně vypadají lépe, protože se jim obličej může skrýt za pěknou masku a ta výstroj je zajímavější atd. A jak je to teda vlastně s McFarlane? Oni už nemají licenci? Nebo se prostě rozhodli přestat?
