Canadian collectors breaking boxes of 2015-16 O-Pee-Chee may want to think twice before throwing out their wrappers as they will once again have the opportunity to exchange them for a special pack containing some limited parallel cards.

Once a collector has a stack of 50 hobby wrappers, they can submit them to their local Upper Deck Certified Diamond Dealer. The dealer will then send them in to the company’s Canadian fulfillment center and the wait begins for a six-card pack. Once it arrives, the dealer then notifies the collector when it can be picked up.

“Upper Deck produces a variety of promotional items for shows, but not everyone can make it out to events,” said the company’s Senior Marketing & Social Media Manager, Chris Carlin. “The O-Pee-Chee wrapper redemption program gives everyone in Canada the opportunity to get some additional value just for opening packs. It has become a fun annual promotion collectors really enjoy.”

All 600 cards in the 2015-16 O-Pee-Chee set have a red bordered parallel that is exclusive to these packs and the potential to pull a limited version of star players or rookies such as Sam Bennett or Malcolm Subban is quite compelling. There will be five of these inside along with a special Mini Glossy card which is a tribute to a similar collection produced by O-Pee-Chee back in 1987-88. Upper Deck has selected 42 players for this set, including many big names and legends.
