Calling all promo card collectors! 2014-15 Upper Deck Overtime Hockey sees the return of special dealer incentive packs. Offered exclusively to shops who purchase from distributors GTS (in the US) and Universal Distribution (in Canada), packs are given out for box and case purchases of specific 2014-15 Upper Deck hockey products.

Last year, the set had two waves. This year, it expands to three. Each wave has a separate checklist of 60 base cards making the full set 180 cards. The first group has 40 veterans, ten rookies and ten retired greats.

Base set parallels come in three levels: Blue (1:2 packs), Red (#/99) and Autographs (1:36 packs).

In addition to the different waves, there are different packs for pre-orders and for those secured after a product's release. Exclusive to pre-order packs are Flash of Excellence inserts. These have three levels of die-cut parallels: Orange (#/25), Red (#/10) and Purple Autograph (#/10). Every pre-order pack has one Flash of Excellence card.

There’s nothing like receiving a bonus pack of cards when purchasing a box from your local dealer and hockey collectors have been able to once again Upper Deck‘s Overtime program once again this season. Split up into three waves, the second group of packs is almost ready to hit the hobby.

Only available from GTS in the United States and Universal Distribution in Canada, dealers that pre-ordered boxes of 2014-15 Upper Deck Trilogy, 2014-15 SP Game-Used and 2014-15 SPx will get special four-card early bird packs to distribute to their customers when they purchase one of these products. One of the cards in the pack will be a Rookie Review insert exclusive to advance buyers. Those that order after the product is released will receive a different version has three cards inside instead.

The Rookie Review inserts will have two non-autographed Green (#’d to 25) or Blue (#’d to 10) parallels in addition to an autographed version this is limited to just three copies.

As for the base set, there are 60 different base cards in the second Overtime wave and 20 of them will be rookies (3:5 packs). Additionally, collectors may pull limited Blue (1:2.5 veterans, 1:10 rookies), Green (veterans and rookies #’d to 99) or Gold (1:90 veterans, 1:60 rookies) parallel cards.

A third and final wave of Ovation packs is expected later this season and the base set will then be complete at 180 cards.
